Drive shafts are mainly used to connect the universal joints of various mechanisms. Due to different mechanical equipment, the functions of various drive shafts are slightly different. For example, on a forklift, the drive shaft is used to transmit the power between the transmission and the transaxle. For forklifts below 3t, due to the short longitudinal dimension of the drive train, rigid joints are generally used, that is, a rigid unit from the engine to the drive axle, and a gear coupling is used in the middle of the rigid unit. For forklift trucks of 5t or more, due to the long longitudinal dimension of the transmission system, universal joints are generally adopted, so that the power is transmitted to the drive axle of the forklift through the drive shaft.
