Improvement of raw material structure and properties of forging rings

The quality of the raw materials of the forging rings is a prerequisite for the quality of the forgings. If the raw materials are defective, it will affect the forming process of the forged parts and the final quality of the forgings. However, forging defects may still occur at a very low rate, including surface defects, internal defects, or performance failures.


The forging rings use reasonable process parameters to improve the organization and properties of the forged parts. For example, breaking columnar crystals, improving macrosegregation, changing the as-cast structure into a forged structure, and welding the internal pores under suitable temperature and stress conditions to increase the density of the forged material.


The ingot is forged to form a fiber structure, and further, by rolling, extrusion, die forging, the forged piece is reasonably distributed in the fiber direction to obtain deformation strengthening or deformation of the tissue.
